It was a Christmas gift for my wife Floride in 1995 that started the jewelry collection. Now you can see it in 50 or so of the finest jewelry retailers in the U.S. and Canada.
Like my sculpture, each jewelry design is of or about a bird, and each starts with a piece of wood and a sharp blade. Some designs strive for a particular artistic element, while others emerge while a sculpture is in progress.
The newest items are the Narrow Feather Rings and Quail Octagon Pendant (with pearls!) and matching earrings. If you are new to the collection and not sure what to get, it is impossible to go wrong with the Wide Feather Earrings.
I purchased this for myself and it sits near my desk. I like the simplicity of the feather sculpture, yet do appreciate the historical significance of an eagle feather which is recalled by this. It makes a statement and attracts the attention of others who always ask what the story is behind it. The sculptor is obviously very talented.
