Gamecock Tailfeather Pin

Product Details

The Gamecock Tailfeather pin was created as Grainger was completing the sculpture of a gamecock for the celebration of his hometown's bicentennial in 2000. The life-sized bird is on permanent display at Sumter, SC's Patriot Hall. The town's namesake is General Thomas Sumter, known as the Gamecock of Revolutionary War days. Two inches long.

Grainger also created the Narrow Feather Bangle while working on the Gamecock sculpture.

Unique way to show support of U of SC Gamecocks!
This is a BEAUTIFUL pin and suits me perfectly! I wanted something new to me and unique to show my support of the U of SC Gamecocks (instead of typical logo-type jewelry which I already have -- as does every other fan). This was a gift from my Gamecock husband even though I ordered it!
