Gamecock Goblet

Product Details

The Gamecock Goblet is the first of three goblets introduced a few years ago along with the Falcon and Mallard. Known for its tenacity, the Gamecock became the quintessential Southern bird during the Revolutionary War. The British invaders branded South Carolina's General Thomas Sumter "The Gamecock" for his unyielding fighting spirit. References to General Sumter can be found all over the state, including Charleston harbor (Fort Sumter), Sumter County (where Grainger resides), and The University of South Carolina (The Gamecocks).

Entirely handmade of over half a pound of sterling silver. The inside of the goblet is plated in 24k gold so that wine may be served in it.
