I
began this project trying to capture the nimbleness of this
acrobatic shorebird. As the sculpture took shape, another
concept evolved in my mind: the sharp crispness of the upper
bird represents truth. The increasing bluriness and confusion
of the bottom bird represents distance from truth.

is the fourth 'reflection' sculpture Grainger has created since
